- To research, find and confirm teaching/care-work placement
for all volunteers at least three months.
- To ensure that HC volunteer receives job confirmation
letter at least two months before the students depart from
home country.
- To ensure that all Head Teachers/Employers have student
details two months prior to their departure from the home
country and are willing to take the students on for a 3
months period.
- To act as an ambassador for the HC volunteers program and
to cultivate new placement contacts and areas in
consultation with counter part.
- To nominate a named person in writing with full contact
details if placement is in Dharamsala or Gangtok.
- To meet the students personally at the airport and arrange
transport to their respective schools (Cost will bear by
counter part)
- To set up and provide and orientation course at their
placement to help the HC Volunteers settle in Country.
(Orientation course can not conduct if there is less than
five volunteers)
- To act as a point of contact for HC Volunteers and the
Heads/Employers in Country with respect to the volunteer's
progress and to assist with any administrative matters
arising with the volunteers-such as food, accommodation,
working hours and conditions and any visa changes.
- To contact counterpart or respective parents IMMEDIATELY
in the event of any emergency using the emergency contact
numbers supplied.
